Bella Luna's sire, Balou du Rouet, was Oldenburg silver medalist of 2005. Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the foreign judges. He has continued his sporting career in supreme style, winning several classes judged on style and ability up to M level. He won the final qualification at the German Young Horse Championships with the top score of 9.2 and in the final was one of the four best approved stallions in Germany.

The sire of Balou du Rouet, Baloubet du Rouet, is currently one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage, winning the individual gold at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three World Cup Championships, and many Grand Prix.

Bella Luna's dam is Argentina, a top producing Hanoverian mare by Argentan. In Hannover, Argentina scored 9.5 on her free jumping and completed a successful mare test. Her sire is Argentan, who is also the sire of Argentinus, Oldenburg's Sire of the Century. Argentan himself was declared Hannover's Stallion of the Year in 1994 for his incredible supply of international show jumpers and inspiring mares.

Further in her pedigree is found the great Thoroughbred stallion Waidmannsdank, one of the best refinement sires ever used in Hannover, found also in the stallions Akzent I & II and Goldstern.
