Description

Super breeding and great rideability!

Cohiba has been to several shows up to the 1.0m level. He would be a fantastic choice for a young rider with big aspirations.

His sire Calido became the standout sire in the jumping world at the 2004 Bundeschampionate, siring the winner of the 5 year old jumping championship, Coster, and the Reserve Champion, Clintwood, and Celine making it through the final. Today Calido I is one of the most important sires worldwide. His pedigree shows Cor de la Bryre A.N., Cottage Son xx three times each and Ramzes AA and Anblick xx twice. His grandmother Kollet (by Roman) brought six dressage and jumping horses that were successful up to advanced level. The dam's sire Coriander was a multiple talent and won dressage competitions of advanced level many times. Calido I led the jumping ranking of his stallion performance test and won 25 young horses jumping tests. The final qualification at Bundeschampionate was one of them. His extraordinary breeding value secures him a solid position at the top and it is proven by his progeny's successes. Important offspring are Coupe de Coeur, German champion 2006 and 2007 with Ren Tebbel, Nobless M, grand prix winner 2007 in Helsinki and La Coronia with Pius Schwizer and Eurocommerce Acapulco (Gerco Schrder). The Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing saw Calido I offspring California with Taizo Sugitani, Cayak with Eiken Sato and Nobless M competing.

Cohiba's dam is the Capitol I daughter Ginie I, from one of the top three stamms showjumping stams in the world, 2067. The particular branch that produced Ginie also produced the stallion Solid Silver, and the family at large is known for many successful jumpers, among them: Leonidas 40 (Lars Neiberg), Cattani (Geir Gulliksen), Leonoardo (Franke Sloothaak), and Landstreicher (Toni Hassman).

Capitol I is Ginie's sire. So much can be written about this great sire, who produced dozens of stallion sons including the beloved Cassini I.  In the 2000 Sydney Olypmics there were three Capitol I offspring; at the next games in 2004 there were thirteen.

Also in this pedigree is Sacramento Song, a wildly successful Thoroughbred sire with tremendous jumping ability who is perhaps best known for his son Sandro, founder of the most prized dressage breeding line in Germany.
