A powerhouse with World Cup level horses in his pedigree!
Cyrus is solid under saddle and has started jumping. He is ready for a consistent training program.
Cyrus sire is Cascani, who stands at October Hill Farm and has been a successful sire, producing useful and talented youngsters that are competing in hunters, eventing, as well as in the top levels of showjumping! An own son of the great Cassini I, Cascani himself competed up to the 1.50m level prior to his early retirement. His son Concho OHS competes now at Grand Prix level , and another offspring, Fleeceworks Cinco, has captured back to back YEH Championships.
Cyrus dam Anjou OHF was shown briefly under the name Alafair to championships in the hunter ring, but the bigger story is in her own dam, Wallonin, aka Alan Paul Wallonin, who was ridden in FEI level competitions by Geoff Billington. Wallonin's sire Watzmann xx, also the sire of the stallion Fox Hunter who stood for many years at Spruce Meadows, but was mostly known as a sire of great mares, many of which are used for jumping ability both in sport and in breeding.
