October Hill Farm Sporthorses

Desert Circuit 2019 is at the halfway mark. Our horses arrived home in Texas early this morning for a bit of a rest. We will be back in Thermal in a few weeks for the HITS Million! Go Team Heineking!

Highlights from this week: NKH Carrido and Mathis Schwentker took 3rd place in Friday's $30,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, and 2nd in Sunay's $70,000 Equine International Real Estate Grand Prix. Up-and-comer Cento Blue and Erin Heineking took 10th in the $70,000 Grand Prix with just time faults in the first round.

NKH Mr. Darcy was again champion of the YJC 6 Year Old Division, securing by huge leaps his mid-circuit champion title for the first half of the circuit. Ginger VEX was champion for a second consecutive week in the YJC 5 Year Old Division, and leads the standings here at the off week.

Erin Davis Heineking and October Hill Farm's Leonie brought home the reserve champion tri-color in the Jr/AO 1.40m Division. Rachel Gracia and her Flecky 58 brought home a second consecutive reserve champion title in the Low Adult Jumpers, and finished 6th in Sunday's Childrens/Adult Low Jumper Classic out of a field of over 25 entries.

Heineking Show Stable's Chico P and Mathis were 2nd in this weeks $5000 Johnson Horse Transportation Welcome class, and Mathis took the win in the $1000 U25 Charles White Hay Sales Classic with October Hill Farm's Clearwater S.

Joining us from San Antonio this week, junior rider Ava Myers rode Chico P to a 12th place finish in the Childrens/Adult Low Jumper Classic and also brought home a 3rd and a 5th in the 1.10m Childrens Jumpers! We are looking forward to seeing more from this new team!

In the hunter rings, October Hill Farm's young stallion D'Avant was Champion of the B section in the Low Hunters and also Reserve Champion in the 3' Green Hunters with John Bragg in the irons.

And, of course, we cannot forget our superstars Ella Heineking and Quanah, the perennial leadline winners. They are simply unbeatable!
