A very flashy and sporty young prospect for all three rings and eventing, Cat Balou was born, raised and started correctly at October Hill Farm.  Already he has some positive show experience, showing courage and ability under the rider that speak to his terrific pedigree.

SIRE:  Cascani stood at October Hill Farm following a successful career in the high performance levels and national Grand Prix, where he had many placings.  Personable, kind and gentle, he provided an amateur-friendly attitude which was passed onto all his offspring, many of which have excelled in sport including Fleeceworks Cinco (two-time YEH champion with Tamie Smith) and Clue (multiple championship winner in the hunter ring with John French).

DAMSIRE:  Balou du Rouet is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears once again among the top 20 of the world’s best jumper sires according to the WBFSH ranking.  He is also one of the 20 best eventing sires in the world.  Balou du Rouet owes this record, now set for multiple years, to the large number of successful offspring he has produced, led by the individual World Championship and European Championship bronze medalist as well as the World cup eight-placed show jumper Bianca and the European Championship gold and silver medalist and ninth-placed eventer Billy the Red.
