Description

Lovely moving, good-sized youngster by the Comme il Faut son Cornet D'Honneur. Bred, raised and now broke to saddle here on our farm, Copa is a terrific prospect for the hunter ring. Great attitude and easy in work. Great future sporthorse, with a worthy pedigree.

SIRE: Coronet D’Honneur is a 2010, 16.3, RPSI approved Bavarian Warmblood stallion. He’s by Comme il faut (Coronet Obolensky x St.Pr.St. Ratina Z,) out of Dorina (Dinard x St.Pr.St. Paola/Pilot.) Reserve Champion Jumping Stallion at the 2013 South German Keuring in Munich, and stood at the Zweibrucken State Stud for the 2013 breeding season, while preparing for his 70 Day Stallion Test. He completed his 70 Day Test at Marbach, Germany in the Fall of 2014 with exceptional comments, and 9’s in all the Jumping and Temperament scores. He was 2nd overall in Jumping, out of over 20 stallions. He will prove to be an interesting new option for hunter breeders, as he also has the movement that will win the flat classes, coupled with the athleticism to produce Derby and big ring hunters. Honor’s first foals have already exceeded our expectations, with Coronet’s Andros winning the 2016 Sallie Wheeler RPSI Championship, and Coronet’s Althea winning the 2016 Zone 8 Championship!

DAM: Ipanema was herself successful in sport up to national grand prix level in Mexico with rider Gustavo Ramos. After arriving in the US, she showed extensively with a junior rider in mid-level jumpers, hunters and equitation, truly an all-around horse.

DAMSIRE: Bred by Paul Schockemohle, Sandro Song stood for twenty years at stud. He was champion of the stallion licensing in 1990 and did an excellent stallion performance test scoring 133,11 points for dressage and 124,55 points for show jumping. In 1992 he became the Oldenburg "Hauptpremium" winner. Sandro Song sired many licensed offspring, including the 1998 German Sport Horse licensing champion Sandro Star, Sarafino, Sandro Song Junior, Saliner, Savino, Souverän, Securus, Shamrock, and Sandro Love. His most famous approved son is without a doubt Sandro Hit, which created his own foundation line for the Oldenburg breed. Sandro Song also produced international show jumping horses such as Markus Beerbaum's Herr Schröder and Franke Sloothaak's Sundance K.
